Terms & Conditions

Please read our Terms and Conditions of Sale before placing an order. If you wish to keep a copy for your records please print out this screen.

Definitions

In this Agreement, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:

'Supplier' means The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd whose office is at:
5 Godstone Road, Purley, Surrey, CR8 2DH

'Goods' mean the goods or services supplied by The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd Ltd website address: www.thesecuritycentre.org.

'Customer' means the person or company who purchases or agrees to purchase goods or services from The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd.

Customer Support and Service

If you have a problem with any of the goods we supply and install, you should phone us on 0208 763 1351 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday or email us at info@thesecuritycentre.org and we will be pleased to offer you technical support.

If we are unable to rectify the problem over the phone, we will send an engineer for a site visit to repair or replace any faulty goods. Alarm site visits incur charges of £75 for the first half hour and £30 per hour thereafter. If you have faulty products that are within the agreed warranty period, the faulty products will be replaced and installed free of charge.

Bookings & Payments Accepted

On confirmation of a customers' order, there is a 50% deposit made payable to The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd, up to 2 weeks prior to installations. The remaining balance is payable on completion of your installation. We accept valid Visa, MasterCard, Solo and Switch credit and debit cards. We also accept £ Sterling cheques drawn on UK clearing banks, payable to The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd and sent to the address set out above. (Cheques written for deposit need to clear before work can commence.)

Confirmation of Payment

Payments made by customers using debit or credit cards will be authorised by our third party, Bank of Scotland. The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd will send the customer confirmation of any payments either by post or by electronic format (email).

Cancellations

You may cancel your order by giving us notice of cancellation within 7 days of the date of placing your order. If you have an installation date booked for an alarm system to be installed, there will be an administration charge of £150 for cancelling your order.

Currency of Transaction

All prices are in £ Sterling (and exclude vat unless stated). Any orders placed with The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd will be converted from £ Sterling into your currency by your credit card company when they process the transaction. Please remember that currency rates change all the time and even the online currency conversion rate displayed here may differ to the rate when your transaction is processed by your credit card company.

Errors on Your Bill

If you find a mistake on your bill, you can dispute the charge and withhold payment on that amount while the charge is being investigated. The error might be a charge for the wrong amount, for something you didn't accept, or for an item that wasn't delivered as agreed. Other parts of the bill not in dispute, including but not limited to, finance and other charges should still be paid on or before the date agreed with The Security Centre (Southern) Limited.

Privacy and Security

Our online payment service has been designed to ensure maximum security and confidentiality. When you make an online payment, you will be requested to provide your personal contact details. This information is used if we need to contact you regarding your transaction. This personal information will be used for no other purpose and is subject to the The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd Data Protection Registration.

Actual financial transactions are hosted by Bank of Scotland, a third party Internet financial service, which provides a secure environment to protect your transactions. Your credit/debit card information is NOT transmitted outside the secure site.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to:

  • modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this Website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the Website; and/or
  • change the Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the Website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change.

It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Conditions have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the Conditions then you must immediately stop using this Website.

Changes to These Terms & Conditions

The Metropolitan Security Centre Ltd reserves the right to change these Terms and any other information it has issued about the products and services on this website at any time.

Statutory Rights
